A Journey of Faith and Knowledge: Activities of Overseas Batch 5 in Madinah

A Journey of Faith and Knowledge: Activities of Overseas Batch 5 in Madinah

📖 Halaqah with Shaykh Dr. Ismail Muhammad Musa — October 7, 2025

Alhamdulillāh, on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, our Overseas Batch 5 participants were granted the blessed opportunity to attend a ḥalaqah with Shaykh Dr. Ismail Muhammad Musa—a revered scholar who also guided our previous Batch 4 students.

By the permission of Allah ﷻ, Shaykh Ismail graced our righteous students with his presence once again to provide them with knowledge and spiritual nurturing. The gathering was filled with profound reverence and blessings. The students, observing proper etiquette (adab), sat in a circle, listening intently to every piece of advice and every word of wisdom that flowed from their teacher.

The light of knowledge seemed to illuminate their hearts; the faces of these seekers of knowledge radiated with enthusiasm and humility. The beautiful recitation of prayers and sacred verses filled the room with tranquility. May Allah ﷻ make this ḥalaqah a blessed gathering, a source of ongoing reward (amal jariyah) for the teachers, and may He instill sincerity and love for knowledge in the hearts of all Batch 5 participants.

🌅 Morning Worship Routine at the Prophet’s Mosque — October 9, 2025

Alhamdulillāh, on the blessed morning of Thursday, October 9, 2025, the day for our Overseas Batch 5 participants began in the pre-dawn hours. Their musyrif woke our righteous students at 4:00 AM, an hour before Fajr, so they could perform voluntary sunnah prayers.

Their day continued with the congregational Fajr prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi), followed by the morning remembrances (dhikr) and a brief spiritual reminder (tausiyah) from Ustadz Abdurrahman, a student at the Islamic University of Madinah (UIM). In his reminder, he offered spiritual motivation and spoke of the importance of maintaining a passionate spirit for learning and steadfastness (istiqamah) in worship.

After the reminder, the participants conducted their muroja‘ah and then performed the shurūq prayer together. Once the morning’s series of worship was complete, the group returned to their hotel to enjoy breakfast together. The entire morning was marked by a wonderful spirit of enthusiasm and togetherness, a defining characteristic of this Overseas Batch 5 journey.

💫 Reflection & Prayer

These activities form a vital part of the spiritual and intellectual development of our Overseas Batch 5 participants. Through these halaqahs and daily worship routines, they are learning to harmonize knowledge with action, and theory with practice.

May all these activities bring blessings, nurture a deep love for knowledge, and make every step our students take an act of worship in the sight of Allah ﷻ.

A Sacred Journey Begins: AL-WILDAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL Sends Off Overseas Programme Batch 5

A Sacred Journey Begins: AL-WILDAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL Sends Off Overseas Programme Batch 5

Alhamdulillah, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, AL-WILDAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL once again marked the departure of its Overseas Programme Batch 5, bound for the holy land of Al-Haramain.

This historic and hope-filled moment signifies the beginning of a profound educational journey for our beloved students. They will be studying at the Islamic University of Madinah and will have the invaluable opportunity to learn directly from esteemed masyaikh (scholars), both on campus and in the sacred study circles (majlis) of the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi).

During the send-off, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Al-Basyir, M.Pd., President Director of AL-WILDAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL, imparted words of profound wisdom. He advised the students to:

  • ✨ Maintain the sincerity of their intention, seeking knowledge solely for the sake of Allah ﷻ.
  • ✨ Uphold proper etiquette (adab) as the primary foundation of seeking knowledge.
  • ✨ Always pray for their parents, whose love and sacrifice have brought them to this gateway of knowledge.
  • ✨ View this opportunity to study in the holy land as a great trust (amanah) that must be fulfilled with utmost seriousness.

He also reminded them that this golden opportunity is a significant trust. Not everyone is granted the blessing of studying in the holy land, and therefore, every step must be intended as an act of worship and a means of seeking the pleasure of Allah ﷻ.

“True knowledge is not merely about accumulating information, but about cultivating humility, noble character, and closeness to Allah ﷻ.”

At the end of his address, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Al-Basyir, M.Pd. concluded with a heartfelt farewell:

“Farewell, my dear students. Study well at the Islamic University of Madinah. Study well in the Prophet’s Mosque, the mosque of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.”

📖 The entire AL-WILDAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL family prays that all participants of the Overseas Programme Batch 5 are granted blessings, ease, and success throughout their sacred journey of knowledge in the holy land.
